Jai Ranchodrai

Shri Bhanuprasad Someshwar Pandya was born on April 6, 1923 in Devgadh Baria, India. The only son of Someshwar and Chanchalben Pandya and the brother of five sisters has left a legacy behind. He excelled in school and worked 35 years as a Senior Officer for the Indian government.

He came to America in 1978 to build a better foundation for his family and future generations. No matter how many hardships he encountered, he overcame them with great poise, setting an example for the rest of his family.

Spirituality and religion took precedence in his life. An avid reader of religious texts and a whole-hearted devotee, he strived to instill those values in every individual he met.

Always putting family first, he was a good son, brother, husband, father and a wonderful grandfather. He is survived by his wife Hasumati Pandya, two sisters Kusumben Jani and Virmatiben Pandya, five sons Prakash, Ashok, Upendra, Dilip and Hemant Pandya, 10 grandchildren, and 14 great-grandchildren. He has lived a full life, filling our hearts with love, and teaching us many life lessons. He will be remembered and cherished forever.

[Bhagavad Gita Chapter 2, Verse 20]

The soul never takes birth and never dies at any time nor does it come into being again when the body is created. The soul is birthless, eternal, imperishable and timeless, and is never destroyed when the body is destroyed.

Services will be on Sunday, January 26, 2014  from 9:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. at Indiana Funeral Care and Crematory, Harry W. Moore Chapel
